Whatsapp: you can finally use the same account on two mobiles

WhatsApp

The multi-device feature for WhatsApp is still under development. It was first revealed around a year ago. This feature has been in the works for months and finally seems to be ready to be released. It promised to allow users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices simultaneously.

In fact, using the multi-device mode on an Android mobile and tablet, or on many mobiles simultaneously, is already available as of right now. Yes, you will need to register for the WhatsApp beta in order to do this.

The version number 2.22.24.18 of WhatsApp has recently become available through the Google Play store. It’s intended for the beta users of the app. It allows them to link a WhatsApp account to an Android tablet or to multiple mobile devices at once.

After applying the update, the “Linked devices (beta)” option will show up in the options menu under “Linked devices.”

The screen indicating the potential of linking our WhatsApp account to an Android tablet. And the procedures to do so will appear after tapping on this option.

Following the instructions to scan the QR code and link the account with the tablet. These steps entail first downloading the WhatsApp app on the tablet.

However, according to WABetaInfo, some users have already started to find the option to link their WhatsApp accounts to multiple mobile devices at once by following the same instructions. Yes, it appears that not everyone has access to this feature at this time.

Whatever the case, WhatsApp is steadily moving toward delivering on its promise to allow users to use the same account across all of their devices, following in the footsteps of other messaging services like Telegram.

We expect that the feature will be officially available for all users of the popular messaging service in the next few weeks.
