Motorola latest budget device, the Moto E22i has launched

Motorola, a sub-brand of Lenovo, has announced the launch of a new budget device that comes with Dolby Atmos technology, which is a first for the Motorola E range with the Moto E22i.

The Moto E22i has been described by the company as delivering a whole new level of premium entertainment at an incredibly accessible price point through the inclusion of Dolby Atmos–enabled stereo speakers.

Speaking at the launch of the Moto E22i, Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola for Australia and New Zealand has stated:

“Motorola is more committed than ever to pushing boundaries, from industry-leading cameras to next level audio capabilities. The new moto e22i gives users an exciting mobile experience that’s feature rich without breaking the bank. At Motorola we continue to set industry benchmarks thanks to our consumer-led approach to innovation. The moto e series is a great example of this, originally launched as an entry-level, no-frills phone, the franchise has gone from strength to strength. We will continue to make the most exciting and useful features accessible to more consumers, delivering great value without compromise.”

The Moto E22i comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display (1600 x 720 @ 269ppi) that is powered by an Octa-Core (4xA53 2.3GHz + 4xA53 1.8GHz) MediaTek Helio G37 processor alongside a 680MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which can be expanded to 1TB via microSD card.

In terms of cameras, the Moto E22i comes with a dual rear camera set up made up of a 16MP main camera lens and a 2MP depth sensor lens, whilst the front facing camera is 5MP which should still be ok for insta or social media selfies.

The Moto E22i runs Android 12 (Go Edition) right out of the box and comes with a 4020mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz ), Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 5.0 and a fingerprint sensor and USB-C port and 10W charger.

The Moto E22i in Graphite Gray and Winter White colours through the following retail partners such as JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Big W, The Good Guys, Mobileciti and Lenovo.com.au for $179. It will also be available through Vodafone from November 16th however pricing was not confirmed.
