2020年，推特曾宣布允许除了维护工程师外的所有员工永久远程办公，成为首个允许员工永久在家上班的互联网公司。

但现在看来， 这个“永久”也是有期限的。

今天，马斯克为推特员工发出首封电子邮件，

告知用户公司将不再允许远程工作，除非有特殊情况，否则员工每周至少要在办公室40个小时。

事实上，马斯克在收购推特前，就曾表示将不再允许居家办公，并计划取消推特的“休息日”制度，带薪休假和每月一次的全公司活动也被取消。
