Please kindly provide full manual how to update from beta and not loose user data and applications data with 0% risk. Otherwise keep your advice with yourself.

Take it easy, in the end each one is responsible for what he does, he simply gave a possibility of how to do it.

Well, I have updated with OTA zips my S21+ on Android 12 Betas and then flashed OTA zip the Stable A12 and received monthly updates.
Now I did the same flashing Betas OTA zips of Android 13 Betas and currently waiting OTA zip to flash to Stable.
Don't want to use Odin, as there is no Beta program in my country and also my phone is bought from Spain and using it in my country and there is no Official Beta Program here and I don't want to brick my phone, as I am not sure what firmware to flash via ODIN and what CSC.
I hope here soon we will have OTA zips of Stable to flash via ADB for all S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra.

Can you not flash using odin?

Again, not everyone has access to a Windows machine. OTA ZIPs can be sideloaded from any platform (even another Android phone!), ODIN flashing is only possible on Windows.

ODIN won't brick your phone, as long as you download and flash the right firmware. It's literally a service engineer utility, used in official Samsung repair shops to work with devices (incl. updating to latest firmware, and doing low level debugging).

As long as you select the right file for each slot on the main screen, and don't go tinkering in the settings, it should be fine (not accounting for external issues like power loss, nuclear war, etc.).

In my particular case, I am not sure what exactly firmware I need to download and flash.
Not sure which CSC Home to use and for other slots also.
Not sure if this will erase my data.
I am comfortable with ADB Sideload and it is for me risk free.
Also OTA Zips sideloading will be useful for guys without Windows.
So I see your point and it is valid, but I would like to wait for OTA Zips ADB Sideload as we did till now here.
Just hope someone to provide them sooner or later.

Nothing a little Googling can't solve. You'll need your device model (found in Settings -> About Phone -> Software information, specifically the Build Number field, e.g. for me on the S21 Ultra Exynos variant it's G998B), and your CSC (this will be under the service provider field, looking like OXM/OXM/OXM or something similar, not necessarily the same three-letter code in all three fields).

Not sure which CSC Home to use and for other slots also.

Again nothing a little Googling can't solve. `HOME_CSC_xxx` will not wipe your phone after flashing, `CSC_xxx` will.

Other slots are self-explanatory, `AP_xxx` goes into the AP slot, `CP_xxx` goes into the CP slot, and so on.

Not sure if this will erase my data.

If you flash the `HOME_CSC_xxx` package for the CSC field, it won't wipe your data - as long as you're not downgrading or doing something else unintended. Let's not forget, ODIN is an engineering tool, so it was _specifically_ designed to work in a destructive manner (since repair stores need to wipe personal data anyway), but there _are_ ways to prevent that from happening, if you're careful.

I'm hoping for it too, because I have absolutely no wish to fire up a Windows VM on my work Mac just to get on the final A13 release.

Thank you for the tutorial on flashing with Odin good sir. I will definitely use it if there is no OTA Zips provided soon.

downgrading is a key word. as i understood if i have beta 3 now i have to downgrade first to latest A12 and only then upgrade to A13 stable. means i cannot flash A13 stable available now over beta 3

correct me if i'm wrong.

So this firmware corresponds to my device firmware and csc?

How to download it to flash in Odin? (EDIT: I checked the ODIN flash info on XDA, just have to be sure to use HOME CSC to not wipe data I guess).

1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder C:\Odin) ***
2. Download Odin v3.14.4
3. Extract the Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder C:\Odin)
4. Open Odin
5. Power OFF your Galaxy S21/21+/21 Ultra Device
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode: Connect USB-cable to your computer. Hold down "Volume up" and "Volume down" at same time. While holding down, connect the USB-cable to your phone. Or use the command "adb reboot-bootloader".
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). USERDATA stays EMPTY!
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes for the device to automatically restart.

Not true. You can flash the A13 stable ODIN package over the beta, as it's an upgrade. Anything that _increases_ the firmware version (last five characters of the firmware version string) counts as an upgrade. Anything that _decreases_ (in this case, moving from `B` to `A` is a decrease) the firmware version is a downgrade.

So this firmware corresponds to my device firmware and csc?

The steps here are correct.

And you should download either the PHE or EUX CSC'd firmware - either works, and both should give you the same OXM firmware (since Samsung started packaging EMEA region into a single firmware image, for portability purposes).

To download a firmware, I'd recommend you use SamLoader (https://github.com/samloader/samloader). It's not a GUI app, so you'll need some command line tinkering, but the information provided in the readme should be straightforward. Just make sure you don't forget the `SM-` prefix from your model number - your phone info screens will show G996B, but in reality your full model identifier is SM-G996B.

I like to use this SamFirm_Reborn its really fast and very easy to use

One last question before I flash with Odin.
Does it matter if I go from one CSC to another? Specifically, VOD Vodafone UK to generic UK? The phone is unlocked.

I see now.
I just misinterpreted one of your previous messages i qouted below

"So e.g. the official OTA linked here is for CVIF to DVJA -> this means that that update can only be applied to a phone running CVIF."

One more stupid question: i have now SEK region on my phone - do i need to change it to DBT if i will flash DBT firmware?

Anyone who's expecting a Beta 3 to Stable OTA for the S21+, our only source went through Odin way, so i encourage everyone to do the same as we wont have an OTA for that.
