SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting: 2H 2022 Release Snapshot

The 2H 2022 release for SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting brings innovation and enhancements across several areas, including applicant management, interview scheduling, job posting, candidate feedback, and more. We’re excited to deliver several Customer Community Ideas and look forward to continuing to work in close partnership with our customers on the Early Adopter Care program for our Redesigned Applicant Workbench.

While all of these items – plus a few more – can be found on the What’s New Viewer, the below provides a quick snapshot of the highlights and benefits for a few key areas:

User Experience Enhancements

Redesigned Applicant Workbench with enhanced search functionality – EARLY ADOPTER: We are excited to enter the first phase of an initiative focused on simplifying the user experience across several areas of the recruiting solution, starting where recruiters and hiring managers spend a lot of their time – screening applicants. This new experience provides users with additional capabilities, such as configurable filters, personalized columns, and new search options, to help accelerate the applicant screening process. Please visit the Early Adopter Care page on the SAP SuccessFactors Community for additional details.

Check out a quick demo of the new experience for the Applicant Workbench:

Change to icons in Interview Central (Customer Community Idea): To improve the usability experience for interviewers while rating candidates, we’ve replaced the thumbs up and thumbs down icons with ‘Recommended’ and ‘Not Recommended’ options. The standard text can be customized for your organization using the Manage Languages tool in Admin Center.

Ability to schedule interviews that cross midnight (Customer Community Idea): Based on customer feedback, we’ve removed the previous restriction on scheduling interviews beyond midnight. In the current version, recruiters can schedule interviews for any time of day, even beyond midnight in the recruiter’s own time zone. This will help to simplify the scheduling of interviews, specifically for those organizations operating globally.

General Display Name on Recruiting pages: We are happy to support the suite-wide preferred display name initiative by enabling the configured display name in a variety of areas, including the requisition creation page, home page cards, and more. Detailed information regarding what’s available and any noted limitations can be found here.

Career Site Builder (CSB) & Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) Enhancements

Reject All option added to cookie banner: For external career sites, visitors can now reject all cookies via the cookie banner alongside the existing option to accept all cookies. This enhancement supports compliance for European countries and covers third party integrations, such as chatbots and tracking tools.

Internal candidates included in email campaigns (Customer Community Idea): With this enhancement, internal candidates or employees can be included in the recruiting email campaigns. This will enable more efficient outreach to internal talent pools, as well as allow the recruitment team to use the email campaign features to distribute information regarding employee referral campaigns or other targeted communications.

Job Posting Enhancements

Direct access to job board logs: With this enhancement, recruiters now have direct access to job board logs for greater visibility and quicker resolution of posting issues. When there is an issue with a job posting, recruiters can leverage the self-service job board logs to retrieve the information and use the downloaded logs as a reference to resolve the issue with the job board provider.

Recruiting posting preview environment: For job boards with a sandbox, recruiters can now test job postings from the Recruiting Posting Preview environment prior to pushing live in the production environment. Within the Job Board Marketplace, a ‘Sandbox Available’ icon has been added to the job board tiles to make it easy to identify which job boards provide this option.

New Job Boards in the Job Board Market Place: 5 new job boards have been added to the Job Board Market Place, including:

  • Acad.jobs – Switzerland
  • CVBankas – Lithuania
  • Get in Engineering – Germany
  • Itjobs.ch – Switzerland
  • Net-Empregos – Portugal

Integration Enhancements

New Qualtrics feedback opportunity for application status change: Customers using both SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting and SAP Qualtrics Candidate Experience can now use the Applicant Status Change (Intelligent Services event) to automatically trigger email surveys following a status change. This enables organizations to streamline the gathering of candidate data across multiple stages of the hiring process. Learn more about SAP Qualtrics Candidate Experience.

All statues now available for Application Status Audit Trail (Customer Community Idea)This enhancement enables users to create a report on the skippedStatus and statusComments fields in the Recruiting JobApplicationStatusAudit OData API. By adding the Skipped status (in addition to the Not Skipped) and Status Comments, users can better analyze and optimize the entire application process in combination with other third-party analytics.

We are excited to deliver these new innovations and continue our HXM journey with our Recruiting customers.  For full details, please check out the What’s New Viewer.
