Kweb, a web application framework written in Kotlin for backend developers, is now ready to be used in real-life projects.
Kweb’s main objective is to eliminate server/browser separation and, as a result, reduce the complexity of creating websites. It keeps most of the logic server-side and enables communication with web browsers through WebSockets. The server instructions are simple JavaScript snippets that are immediately executed by the browser, returning the result to the server if requested. It also includes a simple DSL for manipulating the browser's DOM, as well as plugins for popular JavaScript frameworks like JQuery and Material Design Light.
