Account sharing prevention like Netflix without losing users
Sabil helps you monitor & control account sharing with the highest accuracy, least effort, and without losing users.
It keeps track of the user devices; if they exceed the limit, it prompts them to log out before proceeding.
Every part is configurable!
Clear value prop with a tie to companies' bottom line, @ahmedsaleh.
I'm curious what's on the roadmap and longer term plans for Sabil. :)
@rrhoover Thank you for driving by, Ryan. The best products are the easiest to explain, or so they say.
What powers Sabil is a new proprietary tech. that enables us to do "device fingerprinting" with ultra accuracy, so Sabil will eventually provide device management infrastructure for developers (like Stripe's payment infrastructure).
Hello Product Hunt 👋,
I'm excited to share Sabil with you today. After building my previous startup, we noticed a lot of revenue loss due to account sharing. I looked everywhere but could not find an easy way to identify and prevent account sharing without leaving a bad taste for our users.
So we spent the better part of the year building and improving Sabil to become the most accurate solution to monitor and control account sharing.
Here's a little bit more about Sabil:
1. ✅ Lightweight (~25kb) 2. ✅ Super fast (< 100ms response time) 3. ✅ UI included in vanilla JS & works with any front-end framework. 4. ✅ i18n included with RTL& LTR support. 5. ✅ Webhooks for offline session & device management 6. ✅ Customizable: - Theme (dark/light) - Fonts - Language (auto RTL & LTR) - Prevention enabled disabled (analytics only mode)
Thank you for checking out Sabil and sharing your feedback. I'll be here to answer questions all day.
We're honored to be among the first users of Sabil, and we're extremely happy with it.
From our experience, Sabil is very lightweight and super easy to integrate. It took us less than 10 minutes to integrate and fully deploy it to our platform https://instrack.app.
Right away we started getting useful analytics about how many devices used by each user and how often they access our platform. We noticed that some of our users were sharing accounts, but when we investigated it further, we realized that those users were doing it because we didn't have teams feature. That revealed a pain point that our customers haven't told us about yet. Now this feature is on the top of our list. Thanks to Sabil for the useful insight.
Recently they launched a new feature (Still in Beta) revealing how many accounts were created using the same device. That was an eye-opener. We realized there was a lot of abuse that we had to mitigate. We can't wait see how that feature will be used to automatically block multiple accounts from same device.
Sabil's dashboard is showing very low account sharing on our platform, so we haven't enabled blocking over usage yet. We'll keep monitoring and if it becomes a problem, with a switch, we can prevent account sharing and start saving money without worrying about losing customers.
I can't wait to see how Sabil will evolve into. I have a feeling this is the start of something big.
You're doing a fantastic job @ahmedsaleh . Keep up the excellent work 👍
