10月24日消息，据MacRumors报道，苹果确认会在当地时间10月24日推出iPadOS 16.1。
作为最新一代iPadOS， 它的核心功能之一是加入了台前调度功能。 台前调度能自动整理App和窗口，使各任务之间的切换快速而轻松，带来全新的多任务处理体验。
用户可在iPad上通过单一视图纵览不同大小相互重叠的窗口，可从侧边拖放窗口，或从程序坞打开App来创建App组，
实现更快、更灵活的多任务处理。用户使用中的App窗口始终保持居中，其他App则依据最近使用时间列于左侧。
总而言之，当开启“台前调度”后，用户在iPad上打开某个App，其应用界面不再像以前直接覆盖掉整块屏幕，而是以一种类似窗口化形式出现。屏幕最下方依然可以看见Dock栏，屏幕左侧则新增一列设计，内含四个正在运行的App。
