Security at Meta is responsible for protecting our billions of users -- and thousands of employees -- every day. We work closely with teams across the company, including engineering, security, legal and policy, to build software that provides these protections. We help keep your friends’ and family's data safe.
As part of Security, you’ll build and support key security components of our infrastructure – massively scaled services that solve problems like Identity and Access Management, Cryptography, Public Key Infrastructure, Detection, and Response. These services are composed of distributed systems, data pipelines, and developer-focused products that enable various areas of Facebook to integrate with the platform.
Engineering Manager, Security Infrastructure Responsibilities
Support, grow, and lead a high performing team responsible for infrastructure services that protect the data of 3 billion plus users
Build systems that are used by every software engineering team at Meta, both in our backend infrastructure and across our family of products
Manage the best software engineers in the world, including helping to hire and grow the team
Support performance management process to recognize high performance and support those who are struggling
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the engineers on the team
Advocate for the team’s technical interests and needs
Develop strong relationships and work cross-functionally with many partners across organizations and functions, and as a result, increase the impact of the team’s work
Work closely with engineering leaders across the company to help them prioritize security issues in their products and drive adoption of the systems the team builds
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
Experience providing technical leadership and guidance, and thinking strategically and analytically to solve problems
3+ years of experience building, leading, and managing software engineering teams within an engineering organization
Demonstrated experience working with many cross functional partners and managing programs that require management team support and buy-in
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working across software engineering and security operations or software engineering in collaboration with security operations teams to drive security measures
