Intel Core i9-13900K 搭 MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi 實測
Core i9-13900K 核心數量、最高時脈、快取記憶體全部加量,甩開前代旗艦 Core i9-12900K 不等幅度。
在 Intel Innovation 2022 活動上,Intel 公開第 12 代 Core 桌上型處理器暨平台,今天性能解禁的同時也展開銷售,首先來看旗艦 Core i9-13900K。
Intel 再次為媒體測試樣品設計了特別包裝,相較於以往這次挺像市售商品的精緻禮盒版,Intel 代表性藍色佐以晶片結構透視圖,簡單不浮誇但質感可說歷來之最。打開外蓋迎面而來的,也是滿滿五顏六色晶片結構透視圖,再進一步開啟就能看到主角,Core i9-13900K、Core i5-13600K 以及紀念立牌。
稍早前的 Core i9-12900KS 媒體測試樣品,是直接提供大家所期盼零售版,這次仍然沒有正式版包裝那吸引人的仿晶圓盒子,魚與熊掌總是難以兼得。不過這壓克力之類材質的紀念立牌,一面印製這代處理器結構透視圖,另一面列出 2 款樣品的重點規格,除了收藏紀念想當擺設品也再合適不過。
Core i9-13900K 距離 6GHz 只有一步之遙
第 13 代 Core 桌上型處理器代號 Raptor Lake-S,是延續自代號 Alder Lake-S 的第 12 代 Core 產品,Intel 拉高時脈並加入更多的 E-Core、L2 / L3 Cache 容量增加不等幅度還更聰明、最佳化 Intel Thread Director 能更妥善地分配運算負載至各個核心單元、經過改良的 Intel 7 製程等等,共同完成這一次進化。

更多相關細節可以參考之前 Intel Innovation 2022 所提及內容,這邊簡單就 Core i9-13900K 來看,它獲得增加 2 組 E-Core,所以核心數量規格又寫作 24C(8P+16E)/ 32T(16+16)。時脈自然也再往上拉,P-Core 加速時脈可達 5.8GHz(TVB,Turbo Max 3.0 為 5.7GHz),而 E-Core 是 4.3GHz。
反觀 Core i9-12900K 設置為 P-Core 5.2GHz(TVB & Turbo Max 3.0)、E-Core 3.9GHz,兩相比較 Core i9-13900K 光是 Turbo Max 3.0 加速時脈就達 5.70GHz,高於 Core i9-12900K / KS 任何加速機制。雖說其基礎功率維持在 125W,但加速功率的上限由前代 241W,小幅度增加到 253W。
至於快取記憶體主要變動在於 L2 / L3,P-Core 的 L2 Cache 從前代 1.25MB 增加至 2MB,而每個 E-Core 群組由 2MB 倍增到 4MB,總計 32MB 相較於前代 14MB是超過倍增。至於 L3 Cache(Smart Cache)可能順應 E-Core 增加,所以配置容量從 30MB 增加到 36MB,這部分屬於所有核心共享。

Intel 也為 Intel Extreme Tuning Utility 超頻工具軟體進行最佳化,新版本預設以簡易介面呈現,可以快速進行懶人超頻(Automatic Overclock),像 Core i9-13900K 啟用是會將 E-Core 稍微拉高至 4.4GHz。至於在 Advenced Tunung 選單裡,也首度加入圖像示設計,為倍頻等設定帶來新的操作體驗。
MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi
本篇實際以 Core i9-13900K 搭配 MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi 主機板,坦白說不到一年又推陳出新,各家主機板廠想新梗的速度,未必能追得上 Intel 腳步。因此 MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi 和今年初的產品相較(例如 Intel B660),功能性幾乎如出一轍實屬合理、可以理解之,以下簡單列舉一個新功能項目。
在 Overclocking Setting > Advanced CPU Configuration 群組內,MSI 新增 CPU Over Temp. Protection 選項,能依照需求自由指定 65~100°C 運作溫度上限。這項功能牽動處理器電壓等設置,而散熱器的解熱能力也是項變數,當然也免不了對性能產生不等程度影響,如果有特殊應用需求倒是可以玩玩看。
Core i9-13900K vs. Core i9-12900K
Core i9-13900K 實測所得結果如下列,我們使用 Intel 預設時脈、供電(如 Power Limit)等規則,將結果簡化並改以表格來呈現,方便與 Core i9-12900K 相比並看出差異。Intel 發表時強調,Core i9-13900K 單線程性能最多提高 15%,而多線程能達到 41% 之譜。儘管依測試軟體 / 模式的不同而定,結果似乎也無須再說些什麼,這提升幅度再明顯不過。

另外利用 AIDA64 Cache & Memory Benchmark,試著窺探 Raptor Lake-S 快取記憶體經過強化的結果,其中 L1 / L3 Cache 頻寬提升幅度要說超乎想像也不為過,而 L2 Cache 的提升幅度是相對少一些。至於記憶體頻寬幾乎沒有差異,這兩代記憶體控制器的表現旗鼓相當,主要變數還是掌握在模組與其設定值等處。

基礎性能雖然有這些進化,能反映多少在真實應用模擬軟體上,那是更值得關注。差異主要集中在 7~18% 附近,即便取 12.5% 來當中間值,就整體性能角度而言這並不算少。畢竟第 13 代是第 12 代的強化版,不盡然可以像 Core i9-12900K 對上 Core i9-11900K,動輒達到更大幅度的差距或說驚喜。

遊戲性能以 3DMark 作為基準來看,最顯著提升改善是 CPU 與 Physics 得分,Intel 針對核心架構設計諸多的強化改善,結果帶來 3~46% 不等程度性能提升。至於在真實遊戲中,Core i9-13900K 通常能獲得更多畫面幀數,不諱言有部分表現可以視為一致,但整體上對於遊戲的助益是相當明確。

最後,藉由 AIDA64 進行燒機試驗,簡單衡量耗電量與溫度等狀況。所得結果是 Core i9-13900K 功耗峰值約 253.122W,部分 P-Core 達到 100°C 因而導致後續時脈降低一些,反觀 Core i9-12900K 功耗約 205.154W、P-Core 溫度不超過 92°C。Core i9-13900K 所堆砌元素不算少,因此這般耗電量與溫度表現倒也算是合理,只要留意散熱處理就好。
單論 Core i9-13900K,儘管並未將 Core i9-12900KS 一併列入比較,Core i9-13900K 表現自然是不負所望,優於前代旗艦 Core i9-12900K / KS 不等幅度。儘管架構設計堆疊的結果,使得功耗和溫度雙雙提高,但衡量所換來性能還是值得,難以強求「又要馬兒好,又要馬兒不吃草」。雖說使用水冷散熱器大概無可避免,但只要花點心思處理好散熱,就不至於封印了它的效能潛力。
用來搭配測試的主機板 MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi,先前開箱階段提到 MSI 堆砌了更多用料,使這款中高階定位主機板,幾乎有晉升高階產品線的架式。當然了,下放更多牛肉也代表價格可能再次波動,解禁之前還沒有看到市場參考售價,倒是競爭對手的同級產品有調漲跡象。就算 MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi 同樣如此,它好在有足夠多的進化或說誠意,這個價格帶選擇可不容忽視它。
