前不久美国一家运营商宣布推出8Gbps的宽带服务，而且上行也不限速，这种超高速网络会成为美国公司的一个焦点，谷歌也计划在2023年推出8Gbps的宽带， 每个月只要150美元，约合人民币1077元。
根据谷歌的说法，他们将为创意工作的专业人士、经常使用云端或者大数据工作的人，还有就是那种有多人共享互联网的家庭用户提供超高速宽带服务。
这个服务有5Gbps及8Gbps两种带宽，前者每月收费125美元，后者每月收费150美元，
谷歌还表示这种网络是上下行对等的，也就是说上行也是5Gbps或者8Gbps，不限速。
一些幸运儿甚至不用等到2023年，如果现在就是谷歌Fiber的客户，而且住在在犹他州的堪萨斯城或西得梅因，最快下个月就可以申请这种宽带。
