Chinese AI-generated art startup Tiamat secured millions of dollars in Series Angel from DCM Ventures, as Chinese media outlet 36Kr reported on Wednesday. Founded in 2021, the team was hatched by ShanghaiTech University, with core members from the School of Information Science and Technology and the University of the Arts London. Tiamat has provided commercial content for major Chinese media and magazines, like CCTV International Network and Marie Claire. AI-generated art is getting traction on Chinese social media recently.
