I have a report that needs to include the most recent record included with in the report.
Specifically The report is a work order form with information for the work order and part of that information includes a meter number and its last read date and reading or readings.
I have been able to build a report to group each meter number with its reading records and put the most recent in a group header. That works fantastic as its own report. I had hoped I could make that into a view but that does not work..
So I am now back to my issue of how to get this last record so i can insert it into my report. I can link the meter in the main report to the reading table and return the most recent record if I knew how limit it to most recent record.
I thought about a sub report but have no experience if that will work either
