有报道指登陆Steam平台的《死亡空间》重制版为Steam原生应用，无需启动EA Origin客户端。
如果有人据此预测将来所有登陆Steam平台的EA游戏都会摆脱这块狗皮膏药，那显然过于乐观了。随后发布的《星战绝地：幸存者》要求安装Origin并后台运行，且EA近日宣布新的PC客户端已完成beta公测，即将正式投运，现有Origin用户将收到邀请，现存游戏存档及运行文件可完好无损地迁移至新客户端。
另外，《战地2042》玩家终于等来了首个服务型赛季活动“清算者”：
清算者活动仅限步兵，排除所有载具。玩家将在为期两周（10月11日-25日）的活动中体验紧凑型步战图与激烈的短兵相接，并可获得奖励。
