Did you ever think that the Google Pixel 7 Pro would be the cheapest flagship phone? Say hello to the Xiaomi 12T Pro with a price tag which is even cheaper than the Pixel 7 Pro. It only makes logical sense for cheaper phones to have lower specifications than the more expensive ones. But Guess what? The Xiaomi 12T Pro comes with better specs than some of the more expensive flagships out there. (No one mentioned the Pixel 7 Pro here).

Xiaomi Does It Differently

Xiaomi on the other hand seems to have taken a different route. They did that with the Xiaomi 12T Pro, a smartphone they launched on the 4th of October 2022. Looking at the specsheet of the device, no one has to tell you that you are looking at a flagship device.

First of all, the Xiaomi 12T Pro comes with a powerful 4nm flagship chipset. That is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Soc. There is also a 12GB RAM working with the chipset to make sure the device runs at optimum speed all day.

Talking of all day usage, this device comes bundled with a 5,000mAh battery. This should be enough to handle your day to day activities with ease. If the device runs out of power along the day (which may barely happen), you have nothing to worry about because the device comes with a massive 120W SuperFast charger. According to Xiaomi, the 12T Pro can charge from 0 to 100 in 19 minutes. So you can quickly get back to what you were doing within a few minutes.

Xiaomi 12T Pro Camera

Now to the main talking point of the Xiaomi 12T Pro which is the camera. On the rear side, you get a triple camera setup with 2MP macro lens, 8MP ultrawide and a massive 200MP main camera. The Xiaomi 12T Pro happens to be the second smartphone to use a 200MP camera after the Motorola X30 Pro. However, the 12T Pro used a larger sensor than what the Motorola used.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro uses the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 with a sensor size of 1/1.22 inches. Even though it lacks a telephoto lens, the 200MP main sensor steps in with 2x loseless digital zoom. Zooming capabilities on the Xiaomi 12T Pro is not as powerful as that of other competitors. But the image clarity and the details the device produces will surely leave the competitors far behind. This strongly has to do with the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1.

There is more to talk about when it comes to the camera of this phone. The 200MP sensor is also capable of recording videos in 8K at 24 frames per second. It is also capable of recording videos in 4K at 60fps. The camera also has an optical image stabilization to make your video recordings even smother.

Talking of smoother video recording, it has the eye-tracking technology that tracks your eye when vlogging. This helps the main camera to focus on your face instead of focusing on other areas of your environment. It also has the motion tracking functionality that focuses on a particular image when shooting a video.

Pricing And Availability

Officially, the Xiaomi 12T Pro was announced on the 4th of October 2022. However, the device will be available for sale on the 13th October. Available colors are Black, Blue and Silver. When it comes to the price, you are getting the Xiaomi 12T Pro for as low as €750. As it stands, this price is the lowest you can get with this specsheet.
