It's been a while since we've seen targeted limited-time bonus categories from Chase, but now there are substantial offers to earn bonus rewards on a wide range of credit cards. These include earning 10 points per dollar at gas stations and 5 points per dollar at Amazon and grocery stores through the end of the year. There are some caveats, which we'll cover below.
Many Chase cards — including co-branded Marriott, Hyatt, Southwest, and United cards — are getting offers. Unfortunately, not everyone qualifies. If you're eligible, it's possible that you've received an email with an activation link to your offer.

Even if you didn't get an email, it's easy to check if your card is targeted. Here's how to find out and what to know about these promotions.
We're focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won't be worth it if you're paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it's important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.

- 10 points per dollar at gas stations
- 5 points per dollar at Amazon.com and grocery stores
You will only earn this bonus on up to $1,500 in spending with each card. If you think you'll spend more than that in the above categories, it's a good idea to check multiple Chase cards. Then, if you max out your spending on one card, you can move to the next.
There's no official list of which Chase credit cards are participating in these promotions, but it only takes a few seconds to see if your card is targeted and activate the offer. Currently, we're seeing over 20 credit cards eligible for this bonus. You can visit the Chase bonus activation website and enter your last name, zip code, and last four digits of your card number, and you'll immediately find out if your card is eligible (and if it is, the offer will activate).
The Insider team has checked multiple credit cards, and we qualify for this bonus on the majority of Chase cards. This appears to be a not-so-exclusive targeted promotion.
We're seeing cobranded Chase cards which earn points with Aeroplan, British Airways, Hyatt, IHG, Marriott, Southwest, United Airlines, and more. Based on Insider's valuations, this bonus affords you the following returns:
- Aeroplan points — 10x points = 15% back; 5x points = 7.5% back
- British Airways Avios points — 10x points = 13% back; 5x points = 6.5% back
- Hyatt points — 10x points = 15% back; 5x points = 7.5% back
- IHG points — 10x points = 7% back; 5x points = 3.5% back
- Marriott points — 10x points = 7% back; 5x points = 3.5% back
- Southwest points — 10x points = 14% back; 5x points = 7% back
- United Airlines miles — 10x points = 13% back; 5x points = 6.5% back
These deals are a great way to earn bonus rewards on purchases you might make anyway, but it doesn't always make sense to take advantage. For example, if you already have one of the best credit cards for grocery shopping, you may still do better sticking with your usual card for these purchases. Or, if you're working hard to earn a welcome bonus, it'd be worth it to forego these bonuses to meet your spending requirement.
Bottom line
Check your email to see if you're targeted for this latest Chase promotion — or click here to see if you qualify. If you've got a co-branded Chase credit card, it's worth a quick look.
If you're working on boosting your points and miles balances in a specific program, these offers are a good opportunity to earn a nice chunk of rewards quickly. Be sure to read Insider's guide to the best rewards credit cards to find out other ways to make the most of your spending.
