佳能将斥资约24.55亿元在日本建造芯片制造设备工厂
IT之家 10 月 4 日消息，日经新闻报道，佳能将在日本东部建造一座新的半导体设备工厂。
IT之家了解到，新工厂将建在枥木县，将于 2025 年春季开始运营。投资总额将超过 500 亿日元（约 24.55 亿元人民币），包括建筑成本和生产设备的安装，该公司的目标是将其目前的产能提高一倍。
佳能计划提高光刻设备的产量，这是在半导体中蚀刻电路的关键过程的一部分。该公司还将考虑生产下一代系统，能够以低成本制造最先进的精细电路。
佳能目前在日本的两家工厂生产类似的设备，该设备用于生产汽车控制系统等应用的芯片。新工厂将建在现有工厂的一块空地上，面积约为 70000 平方米。这将是佳能 21 年来建造的第一个光刻设备的新工厂，将于 2023 年开始建设。
