Percona Operator for MySQL 0.3.0

Percona Operator for MySQL 0.3.0 was released on September 30, 2022, for creating, scaling, and managing a production-ready MySQL.

Note: Version 0.3.0 of the Percona Operator for MySQL is a tech preview release and it is not recommended for production environments. As of today, we recommend using Percona Operator for MySQL based on Percona XtraDB Cluster, which is production-ready and contains everything you need to quickly and consistently deploy and scale MySQL clusters in a Kubernetes-based environment, on-premises or in the cloud.

Percona Backup for MongoDB 2.0.0

On September 21, 2022, we released Percona Backup for MongoDB 2.0.0,  a distributed, low-impact solution for consistent backups of MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets. This is a tool for creating consistent backups across a MongoDB sharded cluster (or a non-sharded replica set), and for restoring those backups to a specific point in time.

Release highlights include:

• Use physical backups and restores enables in production environments with this functionality becoming generally available.
• Comply with security regulations in terms of data-at-rest encryption when making physical backups and restores.
• Understand how your physical restores are going and timely react to the process by tracking physical restore progress.
• Work only with the desired subset of data by making selective logical backups and restores (tech preview feature). Thereby you reduce time on database maintenance and save on storage costs.
