随着电子游戏数字化的浪潮愈发势不可挡，不少玩家开始担心：“当某一天开发商放弃维护服务器时，这些游戏会怎么样？”
现在， 育碧或许用自己的行为，为这个问题做出了解答。
目前， 育碧已经正式关停了包括《刺客信条 2》《刺客信条 3》《刺客信条：兄弟会》《刺客信条：解放 HD》《刺客信条：启示录》，共计15款老游戏的在线服务 ，这些游戏仍可在UBISOFT CONNECT中下载，但所有需要联网校验的服务都将受到限制。
简单来说，
这15款游戏的所有多人模式都将无法正常游玩，同时，如果用户已购买DLC，但未进行激活，该DLC将无法游玩。
