Google teases Pixel 7 design ahead of the launch

Google Pixel 7

The Pixel 7 series has been leaking for months now. However, the floodgates have been specially opened in the past few days with high-quality renders showing the design. Google does not seem to care about revealing the look of its devices ahead of the launch. To prove this, the company is unveiling the Pixel 7 design in a new video. Interestingly, this comes after a video that revealed the Pro design in all its glory.

The new video shows that Google also has some love for the Pixel 7, despite the lack of hardware upgrades. The new leak does not go into hardware details, it’s all about showing the design. The Google Pixel 7 will come in Obsidian, Snow, and Lemongrass colorways.

Pixel 7 series – minimal changes

As you may already know from the myriad teasers and leaks, the Google Pixel 7 has practically the same design as its larger sibling. The two phones will retain the big horizontal camera visor design of their predecessors. However, there is a slight change in the form of the cameras. The biggest difference with the 7 Pro, is that the vanilla has two cameras. The Pixel 7 will retain the 50 MP main camera and will also bring a 12 MP ultrawide shooter. The selfie camera will be an 8 MP punch-hole camera.

The design will see small changes, but the camera and display specs will remain intact. That means that the same 6.4-inch AMOLED Full HD+ 90 Hz display will be present. The phone will also have Wi-Fi 6e, Stereo Speakers and etc. The battery will be the same 4.614 mAh cell with 30W fast charging. However, time will tell if the phone will actually hit that charging rate. We also expect wireless charging with up to 21W.

In terms of hardware, the Google Pixel 7 will bring the Tensor G2 processor. As we’ve said countless times, this processor is not about performance upgrades. Instead, it brings a new GPU and a new NPU to improve photography and related image processing.
