近日，斯宾塞在接受外媒采访时表示，微软并未放弃把《最终幻想14》带到Xbox主机的计划。
在采访中他提到，微软和SE都对粉丝承诺未来会继续协调此事，除此之外并未透露更多细节或信息。
根据2019年的一份报告，是微软的一些规定阻碍了FF14登陆Xbox平台，这些规定主要与和其它平台玩家交流（跨平台社交）有关，其中就包括重要的公会相关功能。
虽然目前还没有任何有关《FF14》上Xbox的准确时间，但粉丝们仍可以耐心等待，就目前看来，微软仍保持着非常积极的态度。
