9月16日下午，位于湖南长沙市区内的中国电信大楼突然发生火灾，数十层楼体燃烧剧烈，现场浓烟滚滚，火光直冲楼顶。
16点30分左右，明火被扑灭，未发现人员伤亡。
火灾后，有媒体航拍了电信大楼， 可以看到一面外墙已经几乎完全焦黑，同时仍然有轻微的黑烟飘出。
