工信部：研究推进eSIM技术在智能手机上应用

近日，有网友在 工业和信息化部官网留言询问 称，最近eSIM卡的使用引起了更大的讨论，请问我国是否有eSIM手机卡的推广计划？
对此，工信部回复称，“我部高度重视保护消费者合法权益， 坚持在确保用户合法权益和信息安全的基础上，积极推动新技术新设备的应用和推广。
工信部表示，目前，我部正组织相关单位，
研究推进eSIM技术在平板电脑、便携式计算机及智能手机设备上的应用，待条件成熟后扩大eSIM技术应用范围。
据了解，eSIM全称为Embedded-SIM，与传统可插拔的SIM卡不同，eSIM直接嵌入到设备芯片上，无需再插入物理SIM卡。
