9月13日21时18分，在中国文昌航天发射场，长征七号A运载火箭成功发射中星1E卫星，并实现连续三次发射成功。
长征七号A运载火箭是由中国航天科技集团一院研制的新一代三级液体捆绑式中型高轨运载火箭， 本次任务中采用4.2米直径整流罩，全箭总长60.1米，起飞重量约570吨，起飞推力727吨。
这也是长征火箭家族中最高的一位，大约相当于20层楼高。
长七A火箭作为 我国首型采用助推器与芯一级集束式分离技术的捆绑火箭 ，相比通常先分离助推器、再分离芯一级的方式，减少了一次分离环节，火箭捆绑连杆结构更加简化。
