Accountant

A website is a valuable asset for any service-related business. Websites for accountants, accounting firms, and tax professionals should provide visitors with information about the services provided, a bio of the accountant or information about the business, and offer an easy way for visitors to get in touch or schedule an appointment.

Here, we’ll showcase some of the best accountant websites to provide ideas and inspiration that can be used for creating your own site.

I recommend Squarespace as the best platform for building an accounting website. Squarespace offers beautiful templates that make it easy for anyone to set up a professional website. You’ll also get features like appointment scheduling, email marketing, search engine optimization, and more.

Showcase of Accountant Websites

Here are 25 real-world examples of websites for CPAs and accounting firms. They can provide plenty of inspiration if you’re a business owner creating your own site or a designer working on an accounting website for a client.

Tristan CPA

Built with Squarespace

Tristan CPA, based in Boston, Massachusetts, uses a simple but attractive website. This is an excellent example because it shows that CPAs and small accounting businesses can have a strong web presence by sticking with the basics.

The site is built with Squarespace and features a large hero image with text on top of the photo. Visitors will instantly see the services offered and the location of the business. The site includes details on all of the services provided, but it’s not a huge site. This type of site is easily attainable for any business with the help of a basic Squarespace template as a starting point.

Janet Hamley-Morhart

Built with Squarespace

This beautiful, simple website showcases why Squarespace is such a great platform to build your site. It’s one of my favorite accountant website designs. The homepage features a full-screen photo of the business owner. A brief bio and contact form are below the fold.

This is a basic site that only includes a few pages aside from a news section that functions like a blog. A site like this would be relatively easy for a CPA or small accounting firm to set up.

Connect CPA

Built with Squarespace

Connect CPA takes a slightly different approach. There’s no photo on the homepage above the fold. Instead, the text stands out easily on the clean white background, and the call-to-action button encourages visitors to take the next step.

If you scroll below the fold on the homepage, there are several photos, including a team photo. The design uses an excellent blue and white color scheme. Blue is a common color for businesses in financial industries because it implies trustworthiness.

Accounting Solutions

Built with the Divi WordPress Theme

If you’re a WordPress user, the Divi theme is an excellent choice because of the hundreds of templates, plus the drag-and-drop builder’s unlimited freedom. The website for Accounting Solutions was built with Divi. It’s a professional site that presents a solid first impression on visitors.

The company offers a wide range of services, so the “services” link in the header navigation menu includes drop down links for each service. Visitors can get all the necessary details by checking the appropriate service page.

Pearl Chartered Accountants

Built with the Divi WordPress Theme

The website of Peral Chartered Accountants was also built with Divi. You can see the versatility of Divi on display based on the fact that the site looks completely different than the previous example. The homepage features a photo with a unique flowing shape. This provides a more memorable or unique look than a basic photo.

You’ll find even more to love if you scroll below the fold. Custom images and dashed lines lead from one section to the next.

A few calls to action throughout the site encourage visitors to schedule a meeting. Calendly is used to show available appointments and handle the scheduling.

EC Accounting Solutions

Built with Squarespace

Here’s a great website for an individual account. This professional-looking design built with Squarespace proves that even small businesses can have effective, professional websites. The site has all the content potential clients need, but it’s not large and overwhelming. A site like this is a very reasonable goal for any individual accountant.

Elaine, the accountant behind EC Accounting Solutions, uses a lead magnet with an opt-in form below the fold of the homepage to build an email list. Visitors can enter their email addresses to get a free guide for maximizing tax deductions. This is an effective lead generation technique that’s easy to implement.

JWL Accounting and Business Services

Built with Squarespace

The website of this Vancouver-based accounting firm features gorgeous landscape photos and a clean design. There are also some photos of the owner and the team. These personal photos help make website visitors feel more comfortable because they can see a real person behind the business.

This is a fairly small website in terms of the number of pages. It’s proof that you don’t need a massive site for it to be effective. Pages include home, team, services, educational resources, and contact. All of the basic information is covered, but a small business could set up a site like this quickly.

Kinney & Associates, PLLC

Built with Squarespace

Kinney & Associates is a small business with a professional website. The site features a clean layout and simple navigation. As you scroll down the homepage, you’ll notice some subtle animation effects that bring some elements into view.

This site uses a “contact us” button in the header to draw the visitor’s attention more than a standard text link. This is a simple change that may have a tangible impact on the number of leads generated through a site.

MK Accounting

Built with Squarespace

Maggie Katz, CPA uses a simple but professional website. The site includes a home, an about page, a services page with sub-pages for three services (bookkeeping, consulting, and advanced Xero advisor), and a contact page. This is another example of a small business having an attractive and effective website.

The site features several nature photos, and a photo of Maggie is also on the home and about pages. The header link to the contact page uses a button to help it stand out more.

Amarjit Mahil

Built with Webflow

This is a one-page website, aside from the contact page. The links in the navigation menu, except for the contact link, all lead to different sections of the page. As a single-page site, there’s not a massive amount of content, but it’s sufficient to inform visitors about the business.

The top of the homepage features a large background video with a blurred or frosted appearance. The red CTA button clearly stands out and grabs attention.

James V. Cutrara

Built with Squarespace

The website of James V. Cutrara looks great, but it’s a fairly simple site with just six pages. Large hero images are used throughout the site that give it more of a large, corporate feel, along with the black, white, and gray color scheme.

Each page of the site includes a map in the footer and a CTA button that says “Any questions? Ask me!”

Liebert CPA

Built with Squarespace

Liebert CPA’s website uses a clean layout along with illustrations and icons that add visual appeal. The homepage also features an aerial landscape photo.

The “personal” and “business” links in the navigation menu open up to drop down selections. And the header also includes a green “get started” button that leads to a contact form.

Aside from all the standard pages, you’d expect from an accounting firm’s website, Liebert CPA’s site also includes a blog. Writing and publishing blog posts can be an excellent way to drive more traffic to your site, and to demonstrate your accounting skills.

Accountant Partners

Built with WordPress

This one-page website was built with lead generation in mind. The header navigation menu links, except for the “book consult” button, lead to various sections on the homepage. The site includes sufficient information on the services provided while also nudging visitors to get in touch.

The company offers a free consultation as a way to generate leads. The site header includes a CTA button, and the red “book free consult” button grabs your attention as soon as you land on the page. The same button appears again at the bottom of the page. The bold color of the CTA buttons helps them to stand out.

It’s worth noting that although the site is built with WordPress, Squarespace Scheduling is used to book the free consultations. Aside from free consultations, Squarespace Scheduling can also be used for selling a service and collecting payment.

Lutz

Built with Divi WordPress Theme

Lutz has possibly the largest, most extensive website of any showcased here. Each top-level link in the primary navigation menu includes several dropdown options. It’s a large website built with the fantastic Divi WordPress theme.

The site also includes several different blogs for various business divisions.

NG Business Solutions

Built with Squarespace

NG Business Solutions uses a relatively small website with only a few pages and a blog. The site’s primary purpose is to generate leads, and it accomplishes that by offering a free consultation.

The many CTA buttons on the site link to an email address, so visitors can reach out and schedule an appointment. This is a simple approach, although taking advantage of Squarespace Scheduling would make the process more streamlined for visitors.

Illumin8

Built with Webflow

Illumin8’s website uses a pastel color palette and a variety of animation effects. You’ve got to check out the lightning bolt animations that appear when you hover over the “get started” button in the header.

If you hover over the “services” link in the header, a mega menu with several options appears. Extensive navigation options also appear in the footer.

The attractive colors definitely steal the show, but many details of this site are worth checking out.

Physicians CPA

Built with WordPress

Physicians CPA isn’t just any old accounting firm. They take a niche approach by providing services specifically for physicians. The homepage (below the fold) clearly explains the types of clients they work with.

One of the most notable features of this site is the income tax calculator. Not only is it helpful for visitors, but it may also attract links from other sites and result in more trafficking coming to the site.

Robert Hall & Associates

Built with WordPress

This California-based firm has an extensive website powered by WordPress. It’s one of the best accounting firm websites you’ll find. A full-screen background image helps to provide a personal touch so that visitors can feel more connected to the business.

Most of the secondary pages throughout the site include a contact form in the sidebar. While this may not be the most common approach, it helps to encourage leads by making it very easy for visitors to reach out.

Lurie

Built with WordPress

Lurie is much larger than most of the accounting firms showcased in this article, and its website is very extensive. This is a much larger site, in terms of the number of pages and amount of content, than most accounting firms need. However, it’s an example of a well-designed site.

As far as the design is concerned, the site uses a blue color scheme, which is common for accounting firms and businesses in the financial sector. The site uses a mega menu to help visitors find what they’re looking for.

Deanna Martins CPA

Built with WordPress

This simple website is a good example of what works well for a CPA or small accounting firm. The “services,” “about,” and “contact” links in the header navigation menu lead to information lower on the homepage. It’s mostly a single-page site with a simple layout. The only other section of the site is the blog.

Bravo Tax Accounting

Built with Webflow

The website of Bravo Tax Accounting uses a large background photo on the homepage, and an orange color scheme, which sets it apart from most other sites in the industry.

This is another one-page site. All of the links in the header navigation and the call-to-action buttons, lead to sections lower on the homepage.

Aldaris CPA Group

Built with the Divi WordPress Theme

Aldaris CPA Group uses a dropdown menu with links to a page for each specific service offered. These pages provide details about the tax services, as well as client testimonials.

The site makes use of Divi’s animation effects for subtle details throughout the design.

VMS CPA

Built with Squarespace

VMA CPA’s website uses big photos at the top of each page for a strong visual impact. The site includes about five pages, plus a password-protected client area.

One area where this site is lacking is the “About” page. The page includes information about the business but no team bios or photos.

Perkins & Co

Built with WordPress

The Perkins website uses a full-screen background video on the homepage. The video shows team members in different scenes, which helps visitors to feel a personal connection to the business, and is much more effective than stock photos.

Throughout the site, you’ll find an excellent combination of photos, colorful illustrations, and plenty of whitespace. It’s a very well-designed site that provides extensive information about the services offered and the industries served.

Tanner Accountants and Advisors

Built with Astra WordPress Theme

Tanner’s website uses a nice orange, white, and gray color scheme. The site includes plenty of information about the services provided and names, photos, and contact information for each team member.

One of the interesting details of this website is that it includes a podcast network. There are two different podcasts currently available, with three others that are labeled as “coming soon.” The podcast episodes are hosted by Apple, so this adds no additional complexity to the website.

Building Your Own Accounting Website

If you’re looking to create a website for your accounting services, firm, or a client, I recommend using Squarespace. You saw several excellent account websites in the showcase above that were built with Squarespace, and it includes all of the features you need, like:

  • Beautiful templates. All you need to do is enter your own text and photos. Of course, you can customize the design as needed.
  • Schedule appointments. Allow your website visitors to book an appointment directly from your website. Squarespace can also handle details like payments and appointment reminders.
  • Build your audience. Collect email addresses from your website visitors and send emails with Squarespace.
  • Google Maps integration. Show your office location with an interactive map.

The Squarespace templates below haven’t been created specifically for an accountant or accounting coach, but the layouts and designs would work very well for accountant websites. Squarespace also provides many other templates you can choose from.

Final Thoughts on Accounting Websites

Like other types of businesses, accounting firms need an effective website. Thankfully, these websites don’t need to be complicated. As we saw from the beautiful websites showcased here, some professional accountant websites include only a few pages of content. For a small firm, that’s all that’s needed. If you’re looking for a simple, professional site, you should have plenty of inspiration here.
