Question How to flash a Android 12 ROM without decryption problem?

Why no one proposes to save ROM files through SD card, and then flash via twrp or orangefox? When you format the data, the SD card will not be formatted, of course, you can also use the app to save the data in the SD card for easy restoration.
That will not change anything. If internal storage is encrypted, recovery doesn't have access to /system /data partition and installation will fail. If You have locked safe but don't know combination, You will not put anything new to it.

Why not? For example, you use swift backup to save the app and data to the SD card. If you switch from MIUI to a third-party ROM, or reverse it, you can exclude the computer transferring data. After formatting the data partition and installing the ROM, you only need to install root and swift backup to save the data safely.

I can agree with that scenario.

It's just that the middle process is more tortuous than the decrypted data partition.

I'm having the same issue but how can I revert back to a Android 11 ROM if my internal storage is inaccessible?
I went back in fastboot mode. Try booting in fastboot mode. Then from your computer "fastboot userdata erase" I believe this is the command to wipe the data partition.
Yes but don't format
Hi, what if I forgot to flash dfe after an ota? Will the data get encrypted?

Nope, it will be never usable again....
Means lost...
So it's important to don't forget flashing DfE after every system flashing!

ouch. I forgot to flash it and my phone was stuck on the redmi screen, and after 10min I rebooted it and it went straight to recovery. I pulled the userdata partition to my pc. So you think its impossible to recover anything from it?
Seems like there is a TWRP that supports Android 12 decryption for Redmi Note 10 Pro
Redmi Note 10 Pro | Updates
BTW some other phones recently got a first unofficial TWRP with A12 decryption support. I think at least Poco F3 ,Poco F1 and Redmi K20#TWRP #Unofficial #Recovery #S #Sweet

I did it just by flashing Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip after flashing the rom.
You can search for this file in the web.
It worked for me !THANK YOU!
Samsung S10+ SMG795F Exynos
I've tried everything else.Didn't work.
Unaware of Samsung policy that can't downgrade ROM with lower binary I was stuck to install Lineage.Just couldn't install it with TWRP.
After 3-day of thinking it went:
1.Rooted with Magisk, TWRP installed on OS Android 12
2.adb reboot recovery
3.in TWRP went and activated sideload option
4.adb sideload Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip
(NOTE:File MUST be in directory where is adb.exe to avoid writing path.)
5.wATCH DISPLAY YOU'LL BE PROMPTED QUESTION FOR DETERMING BUTTOns)
5.Answer Yes to both of them
6.Reboot....install Lineage...

Start from the beginning. Clean flash and forget about DFE. (If no DFE used no need for clean flash. Than just update TWRP)

Confirm this TWRP works with encrypted data on Redmi Note 10 Pro, ( Android 12.1 ) , asking for PIN to decrypt.
