Manage your entire music business in one place

Hello Product Hunt! 😁 I’m excited to officially launch Releese after a very successful beta program. We are beyond thrilled to gather feedback from the music community and push this project forward.

We all know too well that the music business is extremely complicated, so we wanted to develop a tool that can help artists and music industry professionals manage their entire music business from one place. We nailed it down to storage, distribution, task management, landing pages and rights collection. Our platform is the first one to bring all these tools together in a publicly accessible platform, breaking down the barriers to entry of the industry. We don’t believe that we will replace Record Labels or Publishers, nor is it our goal, but our platform offers a healthy alternative. We were also very surprised that some of our users are record labels!

To give a bit of background on why this project came to be, most of the team and myself are artists, we have all had a similar music industry experience: work with label, label does nothing, move to next label. Most of us, at the time, decided to work at labels to make a difference. That’s where we discovered that the industry was far more complex and that there wasn’t this great evil we were expecting to find. So, after working at various successful digital record labels (Fruits Music, ChillYourMind, Sadboy Records), it became very glaring that the music business has outdated tools, very few platforms to work on and no native way to collaborate.

This is when I decided to build the solution, and that maybe we could make a positive difference in the community. Fast forward 18 months, and here we are, launching a platform that commands transparency, collaboration, and independence.
