x86/ARM有对手了！Intel力挺第三大CPU架构RISC-V
MIPS倒下后，RISC-V正成为继x86、ARM之后，冉冉升起的第三大CPU架构。
在RISC-V背后的支持者中，有一个特别的身影，即“x86之王”Intel。
实际上，Intel通过与RISC-V CPU内核开发公司SiFive合作，已经实现了FPGA平台对RISC-V的支持，现在Intel有宣布为普通爱好者和商业芯片制造商提供完整的RISC-V开发套件。
Intel此次的Pathfinder开发工具可让各种RISC-V内核/IP等在FPGA、模拟器上可操作化，还能在统一的IDE（集成开发环境）中运行最新操作系统和工具链，甚至还能承接Intel的代工服务。
据了解，目前SiFive研制的最高端RISC-V内核为P650，对标的是ARM Cortex-A77。
历史上，Intel在非x86架构上花了不少钱，比如上世纪80年代基于RISC的i960/i860、本世纪初的ARM以及基于VLIW的IA64/安腾（Itanium）等。
