早在7月，任天堂就曾发布公告，称将逐步关闭WiiU和3DS的网络商店服务。
今天，
任天堂正式为WiiU与3DS推送了固件更新，除了常规的系统稳定性调整外，此次更新还关闭了这两款机器使用ehop预付卡进行充值的功能。
在关闭充值渠道后，玩家将无法直接在WiiU/3DS eShop内通过预付卡为钱包增加余额购买游戏， 但如果仍有购买需求，也可以选择在Switch上充值，并使用共享余额进行购买。
不过，需要注意的是， 任天堂将会在2023年3月27日正式关闭WiiU与3DS的eShop ，届时用户将无法购买任何数字游戏、DLC、免费游戏或试玩Demo。
