Meta Platforms 周一宣布，已经开始允许用户在Facebook和Instagram上发布自己拥有的数字收藏品，这将使用户能够将个人数字钱包连接到任一应用程序，并在两个平台之间共享他们的数字收藏品。此前，Meta 只允许用户在 Instagram 上发布数字收藏品，Instagram 的数字资产整合扩展到 100 个国家，包括以太坊、Polygon 和 Flow 区块链。
据 Statista 数据显示，截至 2022 年第二季度，全球每月活跃 Facebook 用户数达 29 亿人。
