I tried installing this on my watch 5 and cant get it to work. I followed the steps in the original post. I have the watchmod apk installed on my watch and have the latest Phone WearOS apk on my phone. When I open the modified Health Monitor app to calibrate Blood Pressure it just spins and says there is not a compatible watch found.

Did I miss a step somewhere?

Phone: Galaxy S22 Ultra
Watch: Galaxy Watch 5 pro

Have you tried restarting phone and watch...?

The thread targets Samsung WearOS watches, watch4 and watch5 have been tested already, both working fine...

Attached are the Chinese XML files, stock and MOD...

I've updated the Simplified Chinese translation in the attachment, and incidentally corrected theme switch part of other two, where "auto" was translated as "automobile"

Ah yes, automobile mode, you tap it and suddenly you're in a car 😂... I remember that on WeChat, someone said "maybe he got a new car and was excited he wrote automobile"

Again, thank you, I will try to patch it today and release it, but if not today, perhaps the weekend...

I did see someone reporting about this, to be precise Samsung Health and play services posted on one of my YouTube videos...

For your case, it's Samsung Health, seems like a bug, backup your Samsung Health data to cloud (sync) then clear Samsung Health data, open it and restore the data, see if that fixes the problem...

Hey,

Thanks for the suggestion, I done this last night, charged over night but at the moment still doesn't seem to of done the job.

Between 8am - 10am this morning Samsung Health used 23%.

For now I think I will just have to clear all the Samsung Health, Samsung Health Monitor stuff and just try again in a few weeks or so see if anything has changed

Thanks to OP for all the work, working with watch 5 pro/ Pixel 6 Pro but doing this somehow breaks the default HR measurement at every 10 minutes, only continuous and manual options work. This was the only change I made to the watch and the 10 min measurements stopped working right at the time I enabled this. Disabling just developer options doesn't fix it fwiw, haven't tried rolling back and reset, not sure if I want to either.

If it's still ongoing, try rolling back the version (keep in mind watch5 is introduced recently, so your options aren't many but you might find a version that doesn't drain battery)...

Nothing is broken, I can tell you that the HR 10 mins is a hit or miss as a samsung watch user through different generations (Gear S2, S3, Watch, Watch3, Watch4)...

Many times you can get lucky with the 10 mins readings but at some point, you'll find gaps, those are where the watch attempted few times to read and failed, so it skips and reads again at the next 10 mins...

As for your steps, the phone setfeatures control phone features and enabling dev mode would stop google signature verification from working and allow BP data to be saved from the shm mod + dev mode also in newer versions stops playstore from updating Samsung Health... however dev mode has zero role on the watch settings and all the readings, feel free though to rollback things and test it yourself if it would make you feel at ease and comfortable...

Thanks for the reply, I am not too concerned about the 10 min HR tbh if continuous works which it seems to for now. On the dev mode, are you saying that if I disable it (on the watch), the BP sync workaround will not work? I'm not too concerned about updates to Samsung Health from the playstore since they are mostly needed anyways with any major phone or wear OS update so not sure avoiding those is good long term in my experience, thanks again!

I just purchased the new galaxy 5 pro (USA) Working through the steps to get the modded SMH everything appeared to work fine. The icon on the watch does not show a M but the W (wearos logo).

When I try to start the app I get this message : Phone App, Not for Watch If I am taking this message literally I am guessing I may have the wrong APK file or am missing some obvious step.

I am using the bugjaeger app . Connect via ADB debugging , Using the Phone.wearOS.SHM.MOD.1.1.1.20..... APK file

Any ideas on WTF I am missing here.

Thanks

The watch developer options is mainly to enable adb debugging, it has no impact on anything, you can turn it off (if I'm not mistaken) by tapping the build several times and it should say developer options are disabled...

I was talking about the phone Samsung Health, setfeatures settings where you have dev mode and developer mode turned on, those settings would stop Samsung Health from rejecting BP data in my SHM MOD because it's a MOD...

You can update the phone Samsung Health by:
1. Turn off the dev and developer mode and check playstore then update, once done, enable things back in setfeatures...
2. Apkmirror, it grabs updates from the playstore...

I usually grab the updates from apkmirror...

Also, I installed the companion on the watch fine. How do you install it on the phone. (Google pixel 5A)

Thanks

You did Install the phone app on the watch, so uninstall that, and grab the watch app from the folder "watch shm mod wearos" folder...

Not sure whether you did the same thing for the companion app, because you can only download the phone app from here, the watch app is downloaded from within the companion app itself...
