Fitbit Versa 4 Is Here With Subtle Refinements

The new-generation Versa is now official

Fitbit has just announced the new-generation Versa, the company’s more affordable smartwatch that also runs Fitbit OS.

Just like the Sense 2, Versa 4 comes with a new side button that was last used on the Versa 2, though it now features a new location to specifically make it easier to reach.

As compared to the Sense, however, Versa is mostly about software updates, as the new stress management feature is exclusive to its more expensive sibling.

In other words, Versa is very similar to its predecessor not only in terms of design but also when it comes to features.

However, Fitbit says it has specifically worked to make the Versa 4 thinner, while also boosting the battery capacity.

“Versa 4 and Sense 2 are thin, lightweight, and perfect for all day and night wear. We’ve changed the entire design and made it our thinnest series of smartwatches yet. We have also moved the band attachment so the device fits more comfortably on your wrist and added the button back, with an improved location for easier access during workouts. Both Versa 4 and Sense 2 are  equipped with 6+ days of battery life and fast charging (12 minutes = 1 day of battery life!),” Fitbit says.

Just like the second-generation Sense, Fitbit Versa 4 also comes with Google Maps and Google Wallet integration – both, however, will go live at a later date, so they won’t be available at launch. Worth knowing, however, is that Fitbit Pay continues to be available for now.

Versa 4 was specifically developed with fitness in mind, Fitbit says.

“Choose from more than 40 exercise modes (more than double we’ve ever had!) all available on-wrist, including new options like HIIT, weight lifting, CrossFit and dance. Head outside with built-in GPS, or find something new with more than 1,000 workouts and mindfulness sessions in Fitbit Premium. Whatever you decide, Active Zone Minutes and in-the-moment heart rate zone alerts, help you track how your effort is adding up,” the company explains.

Fitbit Versa 4 can be pre-ordered today for $230.
