答案是肯定的，在NASA数年来的支持和赞助下， 美国内布拉斯加州的科学家们打造了一台名叫“MIRA”的机器人，它将在2024年登上国际空间站。
MIRA的重量约为0.9千克，呈纤长的圆柱体，底部有两根可以移动的操作手臂，末端配有抓取和切割的工具。
据其制造商称， 在轨道上没有人类外科医生的情况下，MIRA可以由地球上的医生进行远程控制，甚至可以自主进行手术。
