POCO M5 4G India launch

The Poco M5 4G smartphone’s India launch could be right around the corner. The handset will reportedly carry a reasonable price tag. Poco is prepping to launch a new M-series smartphone dubbed the M5 4G for the Indian market. Industry sources have confirmed to 91mobiles that the Poco M5 4G India launch will take place in early September. Notably, the Poco M5 4G will be the first M5 series smartphone to hit the store shelves in the country.

Further, the report suggests that the M5 4G will pack the MediaTek Helio G99, which is a gaming-centric processor. To recap, Poco launched the 5G-ready M4 variant in India back in April. The brand teased the arrival of an Helio G99-powered device earlier this month. Poco tweeted a teaser with “G99” mentioned on it. So, the alleged M-series smartphone could succeed the Poco M4 Pro, which went on its first sale in India in March.

This cell could support at least 33W fast charging. The rear panel will sport a leather texture if previous teasers are anything to go by. The side edge will house the fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the upcoming M-series smartphone could run Android 12 out of the box. The Poco M5 has already bagged the NBTC and FCC certifications.
