明年的Meteor Lake是英特尔迎来大变革的一款处理器，会使用新的Intel 4工艺，同时采用了模块化设计，可以搭配不同制程节点的模块进行堆叠，再使用EMIB技术互联和Foveros封装技术，封装内有可能首次出现其他晶圆厂制造的模块。
据称，Meteor Lake的性能核（Performance Core）将启用Redwood Cove架构，以取代目前的Golden Cove架构，能效核（Efficient Core）则会改用Crestmont架构，替换掉Gracemont架构。传闻Meteor Lake会利用台积电（TSMC）的工艺制造GPU模块，EU数量也会高于Alder Lake和Raptor Lake。
据VideoCardz报道，Meteor Lake的核显将采用Xe-LPG架构，这是独立显卡Xe-HPG架构的精简版本，会缺少XMG单元。根据近期英特尔图形编译器的补丁显示，Meteor Lake的核显可能支持光线追踪功能。
暂时还不清楚Meteor Lake会有多少个EU，最早的时候传言GPU模块采用的是台积电的N3工艺，EU数量为192个，近期有报道称换成了N5工艺，EU数量也由原计划的192个减少到128个。此外，Meteor Lake还会集成视觉处理单元（VPU），将会在处理器的核心运算模块旁边，其作用与苹果M1的神经网络引擎相似，以大幅度提升机器学习（ML）任务的处理速度。
