安卓阵营的折叠屏手机已经小有气候，三星、华为等厂商更是因为销量可观，产品已经迭代数次。
反观苹果这边，折叠屏iPhone或者iPad似乎没什么动静。
业内人士获悉，苹果并未在开发折叠屏手机，主要原因是利润微薄 。由于苹果无法生产面板，屏幕均需要外购，当前可折叠形态的OLED价格非常贵，iPhone需要维持50%以上的利润率。
另一位面板研究行业的资深分析师、DSCC创办人兼CEO Ross Young则表示，苹果尚未押注折叠屏的一大原因还在于缺乏成熟稳定的供应链配套，他们需要多家能够定制量产高品质折叠面板和UTG盖板玻璃的供应商。
