Thank you @kevin for hunting CypherChat!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for stumbling upon CypherChat!

I am Danish Jaffer, the founder of Cypher Tech Inc. and the creator of CypherChat. I am very excited to share this product with you all! I hope you find this product interesting.

CypherChat was born out of concern for privacy and expression after asking questions to myself.

- Why do all messages have to be stored somewhere? - Why is there a need to share personal information to use a platform? - Why do all messages have to be capable of being read by someone other than the intended recipients? - Why is encryption not enabled by default on some platforms? - Why do ads pop up about products after talking about them? - Why aren’t there better tools to communicate without concern for security or privacy?

Failing to find convincing answers decided to build CypherChat to address these concerns. Giving users absolute control over the security and privacy of their messages.

CypherChat is a secure communication platform that is built with privacy in mind and does not rely on the personal information of users, not even on sign-up. All communication is safeguarded with End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) communication that prevents tampering or deciphering of communication by anyone other than the sender and recipient.

Some commonly asked questions:

- How is CypherChat different from other platforms?

1) CypherChat does not ask for personal information when you signup which makes it a unique proposition for people wanting to communicate without giving away their personal information to platforms that could be potential for a breach, surveillance, or ads.

2) CypherChat has Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file transfer that allows you to share files without the risk of being part of a data breach.

- What are the use cases for CypherChat?

CypherChat can be used to communicate with each other, and friends while having privacy at the highest level. You can send messages in the high-privacy chat room without being stored.

Another critical use case is for being a communication tool available for journalists, activists, and people in areas of crisis and civil unrest where communication is being under surveillance or is blocked. This could help them connect with each other, sources, get the right information, and so on.

A custom variant that is built upon the technology behind CypherChat is a product/solution SafeSpace which will be used to empower Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in organizations by empowering employees to be able to speak up about issues, and concerns anonymously over chat. Also, they will be able to seek counseling and coaching through the platform. http://makesafe.space/

- Is the encryption code open source?

I totally understand the need for being open source and am committed to doing that as we progress. The encryption is built using open-source protocols. As the revenue model is being figured out once that is done, I will be better able to understand what part can be made open source. CypherChat will always have a free model with all the features like sending messages, files, and calling.
