云存储厂商BackBlaze定期会发布机械硬盘故障率报告，现在又来了个大的，汇总整理了2013年4月至2022年3月的数据，分析了4种容量、10款硬盘的可靠性变化，并用Kaplan-Meier生存曲线展示出来。
4TB选了两款，一是 希捷ST4000DM000，一共有18495块，故障次数多达4581次，年故障率2.45％，六年时间后可靠性只有约81％。
换言之，如果你买了这块硬盘，使用六年，只有81％的几率还是正常的。
二是HGST HMS5C4040BLE640，一共有12728块，故障次数343次，年故障率0.40％，六年时间后可靠性约97％。
