育碧宣布取消四款正在开发的游戏

据Video Games Chronicle报道，育碧本周宣布取消四款正在开发的游戏，包括《Splinter Cell VR》、《Ghost Recon Frontline》以及两款未公布的游戏。
早在2019年，关于育碧的Red Storm工作室可能在Reflections的支持下开发《Splinter Cell VR》游戏的谣言开始流传。2020年，该公司证实其实际上正在开发《刺客信条》的VR改编版。
据了解，《刺客信条 VR》是一款基于标志性《刺客信条》系列的原创VR游戏，与《Splinter Cell VR》都是育碧旗下Red Storm工作室与育碧Reflections、育碧Dusseldorf，以及育碧Mumbai合作开发的，将在Meta VR头显上独家提供。目前尚不知道《刺客信条 VR》是否也会被取消。
根据育碧首席执行官Yves Guillemot的说法，取消这些游戏是由于经济环境的变化，但除此之外，细节有限。
