一直有传言称Meteor Lake将采用新的内核架构，性能核（Performance Core）将启用Redwood Cove架构，以取代目前的Golden Cove架构，能效核（Efficient Core）则会改用Crestmont架构，替换掉Gracemont架构。
近日有网友发现了英特尔开源网络存储库中有关Meteor Lake的数据，证实了Meteor Lake的混合架构将由Redwood Cove架构和Crestmont架构组成。此外，Meteor Lake的GPU将是Xe-LPG架构，以替换第11代酷睿以来的Xe-LP架构。传闻首批Meteor Lake样品将在2023年上半年发货，预计桌面平台版本于下半年上架销售，时间上与AMD基于Zen 5架构的处理器相近。
Meteor Lake将采用模块化设计，应该会有四个不同的模块，分别是计算模块、SOC模块、I/O模块和GPU模块，这些模块可以采用不同制程节点制造，然后进行堆叠，再使用EMIB技术互联和Foveros封装技术。
