New all-time low prices have hit Apple's 2021 MacBook Pro lineup on Amazon today, including deals on both the 14-inch and 16-inch models.

14-inch MacBook Pro

Starting with the 14-inch MacBook Pro (10-Core M1 Pro/1TB), this model has dropped to $2,199.00, down from $2,499.00. This is a new record low price on this version of the 14-inch MacBook Pro, and it's available in Silver and Space Gray.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with some of these vendors. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running. Although the lower-end 512GB model of the 14-inch MacBook Pro was on sale at an all-time low price earlier today, it appears stock has dwindled on Amazon. We recommend keeping an eye on the notebook, however, because it may reappear sometime. When it was available, it was priced at $1,749.00, down from $1,999.00.16-inch MacBook Pro

Moving to the 16-inch MacBook Pro, we're tracking an all-time low price on the 10-Core M1 Pro/512GB 16-inch MacBook Pro, priced at $2,199.00, down from $2,499.00. This one is available in both colors, with Space Gray running low on stock as of writing.

On the higher end, the 10-Core M1 Pro/1TB 16-inch MacBook Pro is on sale for $2,399.00, down from $2,699.00. At $300 off, this is another new best-ever price on the 2021 MacBook Pro. You can find even more discounts on other MacBooks by visiting our Best Deals guide for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. In this guide we track the steepest discounts for the newest MacBook models every week, so be sure to bookmark it and check back often if you're shopping for a new Apple notebook.

Between 9% and 10% off on these models on UK Amazon as well which is a refreshing change considering we're usually screwed over a barrel here in the UK.

Should be if you wait a while after they are released.

wow so same price for 14 and 16 ,only that the 14 has 1tb instead of 512gb? i'd take the 16 in a heartbeat haha

(tho 14 size and form factor is damn sweet)
When I was deciding between the 14 and 16 I picked them both up in the store, decided the weight difference was minimal to me, and went for the 16 for that big beautiful screen, better speakers, and better battery life. The size upgrade is only 200USD.

However, if I were regularly carrying it to school I would have chosen the 14.

Never any sales for anything on Amazon Canada - not sure why. The dollar exchange is bad enough!

Give us a break Tim and Jeff!

Discounted MBPs or Universal Healthcare... you don't get both. 🤣

That is a great price for such an amazing MacBook Pro. I paid $2249 for mine 4 months ago during a sale on Best Buy and Amazon.

totally agree .i've had both the 16 and 14 and the 16 is far better . but for school it's a pain to carry

i returned them both and went for a mba m1 because i surely didn't need m1 pro,and while the pros have many comfortable features , i couldn't afford it really (again i could, but it's not wise )

Understandable. I would probably have gone for a 24/1TB M2 Air if I were carrying it every day. Besides, if you had blown all your money on the MBP you probably couldn't have gotten that 13" iPad.

The discount prices are pretty good. The only difference is whether it’s worth buying it from the Apple education store if you qualify. The sale price is actually $100 less than the education price right now, but the Apple Store is giving out $150 back to school gift cards. While not exactly a discount, it’s likely anyone buying a MBP will buy from Apple again, so technically it’s $50 less. I’m not sure which is the better deal. Probably the $100 price difference on Amazon because you usually end up spending much more than the gift card.

If you were looking to upgrade the Air with RAM and storage, this kind of deal could make one change one’s mind about the Air. $1749 isn’t that much more than the Air. For $450 more, you get both a 512GB upgrade to 1TB and a CPU/GPU upgrade.

Buying from the Apple Store gives more people access to 0% Interest financing and access to 3% cash back if you use the Apple Card, so that can balance out the slightly higher price.

But for many people either store is a good option.

I was planning on getting the 16/2TB M1-Pro, but since that was months away from shipping I bought the 16/1TB. That was the config on my 2014 13" MBP it replaced so I knew I'd be fine. I normally would have been fine waiting, but then my left-side shift key stopped working and let me tell you how hard it is to overcome 30 years of muscle memory and rely on the right side key.

I tried the 16/1TB M1 Air, but since I could get it to throttle I went with the MBP. So it wasn't even a cost decisions; I went with the computer that met my needs instead of trying to force the computer I wanted to meet my needs. I wasn't going to get the M1 13" Pro because I wanted MagSafe, SD, Mini LED, and the better speakers. While I didn't need more than two USB-C slots, I appreciate that one of them is opposite MagSafe so I can charge from either side. HDMI is irrelevant to me, but Im glad its back for people doing presentations in offices or wanting to reliably connect to a TV.

Likewise from Amazon. They have a no-interest 18-month payment plan if you have one of their cards. If you buy a lot from Amazon, getting their Chase credit card is a good deal because it gives 5% cash back for purchases on Amazon. If you use their card you get back about $110 for the $2199 MBP, another pretty big discount on top. Apple gives about $70 on their $2299 MBP by using their card plus the $150 gift card.

The 16" M1 Pro battery life is insane! Full power, bright screen, all day, no compromises. I haven't felt the laptop get warm yet, and still don't know what the fans sound like. Easily the best MBP ever made. The 1TB pro is a fantastic deal.

Thanks. I just got an open box certified 16-inch for around $2,200 (after taxes, that is) at Best Buy. Saved around $200 by buying it open box.

The MacBook Pro 14 and 16 are the only MacBooks that can be easily recommended in a base configuration. The base CPU will run cooler, quieter, and have better battery life, plus it comes with 16GB of RAM and a fast SSD standard.

It's like we're being constantly punished for being Canadian. For many years you couldn't buy Macs on Amazon.ca -- they weren't even listed. Now they're available but never, ever on sale. Even when the US/CDN exchange rate was in our favour (favor) Macs still cost way more here. And the shipping fees! I can drive to Michigan in 45-mins but shipping fees across the border are insane... last month I bought a popular online weather station for $289 US and paid $160 CDN to get it here. Seriously, more than 50% of its value to ship something the size of a shoebox. I don't even order from my long-time favourite (favorite) 3rd-party Mac accessory supplier in Illinois anymore because their shipping quotes often exceed the value of the product. It's crazy. Pretty sure I've bought FedEx a 747 or two all by myself. Ugh.

The MBP 14 for $1750 is a much better deal than an upgraded M2 Air. The single core difference won't be noticeable for most people and the miniled screen is so much better. Fan hardly ever comes on either.

Get a shipping address (like a PO Box) in Michigan. Do some big shopping a few times a year and just drive down and pick the haul up.

Logically unless supply chain issues interfere we will see new M2 MBPs in October. Hopefully my 2016 MBP keeps working until then and I can choose between even better last-generation M1 deals versus the substantially more refined M2.
