I’m Tzachi and with @jake_vacovec and @etai - we are the founders of @FlyCode.

🤘 Why we started FlyCode? Have you ever felt like your product delivery workflow is stuck in a constant back and forth? As product people, we want to ship products faster and we’re constantly frustrated with the back-and-forth around product edits. Instead of writing a ticket with a description, a screenshot, a spreadsheet… not to mention prioritizing and estimating the ticket with the engineering team just to see it in next Q’s roadmap 😩 

Sounds familiar? That’s why we’re building FlyCode — so changes can be made yourself 🚀

👩‍💻 What is FlyCode? FlyCode (YC S22) makes web apps editable without coding so teams can iterate and release products faster. Our goal is to embed iteration within product delivery workflows for a streamlined and collaborative experience.

FlyCode allows non-developers to contribute to web apps without actually coding. We enable product, marketing, and UX teams to edit products in minutes by connecting directly to GitHub. While developers retain ownership of the codebase, non-technical teammates can take full ownership on product change within the same dev workflow.

🧭 So far we’ve built: - Pre-built Editing Portal to invite your team to manage and edit product copy, images, and links with auto-generated PRs. - Editing product copy in resource files and ⚡hardcoded⚡ - Replace and upload new images and icons to your product

🐣 Editing the actual product in 3 minutes — how is it possible? That’s right, FlyCode’s setup only takes minutes. We automated all the tedious integration work so your developers don’t have to. It’s a GitHub app that you can install (like installing apps on your phone), we scan your code automatically and give you a pre-build editing portal to edit. There is no integration needed and we don’t change your code.

We are using this post as an opportunity to collect feedback from fellow makers! We are far from our vision but the team - 7 amazing humans - are working hard every day to improve the user experience and feature requests from our early collaborators (editing themes, variables, JSON configuration, A/B tests, etc.).
