7月20日，金鸡百花电影节官方正式公布第36届大众电影百花奖评奖情况、提名名单及主视觉海报。
2020年中国金鸡百花电影节主视觉海报主体形象选择「鼎」作为背景，以「百花齐放春满园」为灵感，整体采用了代表希望的「绿色」为主色调，通过「花蕊」图形之间的色彩变幻、虚实交错，凸显「心灵故乡，光影盛宴」的意境。
此次大众电影百花奖主视觉海报，以波涛水流之势，寓意百花一甲子波澜壮阔、勇毅前行的光辉历程，象征江城武汉、百湖之市的浪潮涌动，蕴含英雄城市、英雄人民的精神力量。
此外，它也公布了此次颁奖提名名单，《长津湖》《你好，李焕英》《奇迹·笨小孩》《送你一朵小红花》《中国医生》5部佳作入围影片奖提名名单。
