Replacement Lenses Keep Up With Our Eyewear Needs
Eyeglasses have been in existence for much longer than many of us would think, with the first glasses being invented in 13th Century Italy. These were crude glass blown lenses set into leather or wooden frames.
Since then, eyewear has obviously come a very long way. In fact, eyewear is used for far more than simple magnification and vision correction. Eyewear is used in a wide variety of ways such as specialized lenses for labs or for medical purposes, as well as protective eyewear in athletics. However, more than half of all American adults still use eyeglasses for the most common of purposes.
This means that more than half of American adults are also having to spend money on eyewear every single year, particularly as trendy frames have become more popular and many of us like to have multiple styles to choose from on any given day.
Thankfully, along with the evolution of eyewear, we now have the option of replacement lenses. Replacement lenses can serve a multitude of purposes, from wanting to keep our current frames, wanting to switch out frames regularly, to being able to change the kinds of lens we’re using depending on the occasion.
Replacement lenses make perfect sense both for budget and versatility.
