thank you @throwaway32...this version works fine on both of my 2017 Nvidia Shield Tvs!

Well, it appears now I cannot install any update to this app on my Shield TV 2017. It keeps telling me there's an update when I launch it and I cannot get past that. Even when I uninstall the previous version. Any ideas what to do?

Having the same problem, app ask me to update it, once I have done that the new and the old app don’t work. Error 500 (used to get update app message before deleting cache files)

I've got the latest version (same that is on my phone 4.0.33.37233) and it keeps telling me I must Update as well

Having similar issue. Was running v32 on Sony A9G TV and received the update notification. I installed v33, but get same message. Can't get past the update screen. Did DTV do something to prevent sideloads?

I used the one above from Throwaway32 on my Chromecast with Google TV.

Works on Sony Bravia, the icon shows AT&T logo though.

I tried installing Amazon v34 posted by Throwaway32. However, it will not install on my Sony A9G TV.

Update - I finally got v34 to install after restarting TV and retrying. It appears to work now on my Sony TV.

Amazon dtv stream apk doesn't work on my tivo stream 4k android. Says can't unpack the apk

I only had one icon but I:

1. Completely uninstalled the old DirecTV Stream app (may be unnecessary)
2. Installed the Fire TV version throwaway32 provided (which had the small ATT TV icon)
3. Installed the DTV Stream icon fix (which I think I got from the initial post on this thread, I already had it saved on my Shield Pro 2019 from a while back).

Wasn’t able to install on my Stream TV Soundbar (Android 11). I was previously able to download and use the version from @AtrixHDMan .

This one said there’s “a problem parsing the package”…Any solutions to fix this or any other versions of the latest apk?

I'm getting the same thing on my Shield Pro 2019. Uninstalled everything, rebooted, pulled the plug. Ugh, I hate that this isn't available to Google TV or Shield without sideloading. But I really appreciate those of you who fix it for us!

This version 4.0.34.37200 APK from post #2381 above worked by side loading on my Tivo 4K . Had trouble first couple of times but changed name of APK to Directvstream.apk and it worked.

I had to force stop the old version of the app first before it would properly install the new version, and then it started fine.

To force stop, go to:
Settings > Apps > DIRECTV STREAM > Force Stop

I tried renaming the file above for Shield TV Pro 2019 but that didn't work. Just letting the Shield TV Pro users know.

I got the update needed on my A80J today. Installed the Amazon V34 and it's working.. Still says AT&T on the app but that's not a big deal..
