据知名苹果爆料人Mark Gurman近日透露，苹果正在开发“极限运动”版本的Apple Watch， 将采用迄今为止最大的屏幕、坚固的金属外壳以及更大的电池。
Gurman称这款手表主要是针对运动员、徒步旅行者而设计。 新款Apple Watch的屏幕对角线长度接近2英寸 ，比当前的Apple Watch Series 7和计划中的Apple Watch Series 8的屏幕还要大。
他还表示，极限运动版Apple Watch的屏幕尺寸将较Apple Watch Series 7多出约7%，分辨率为410 x 502，苹果也许会在额外的屏幕区域上显示更多的健康指标。
据知情人士透露，与将发布的标准版Apple Watch 8相比，极限运动版将采用更坚固的金属材质打造，而非铝合金。
此外， 极限运动版Apple Watch可以通过测量体温来判断用户是否发烧，还可以改善运动追踪指标，比如远足时的海拔和游泳数据。
至于售价方面，可能会比Apple Watch Series 7以及即将发布的另外两款Apple Watch的价格还要高，预计将超过699美元（约合人民币4680元）。
