环保是世界发展的大势所趋，风能作为最常见的自然资源，一定程度上能缓解迫在眉睫的环保问题。
日前， 西班牙-德国风能巨头Siemens Gamesa宣布，已获得60台SG 14-222 DD海上风力涡轮发电机的订单 ，这些风力发电机将安装在苏格兰的882兆瓦Moray West海上风电场。
预计2024年安装第一台发电机，并在当年年内投入发电。
据报道， 这将是世界上最强大的风力涡轮发电机，每个发动机配有三根180米长的叶片，叶轮直径达222米，单个发电功率可达14.7兆瓦 (MW)，一天最多可产出35.28万度电。
