How to increase my rating if I am stuck at grey.

I am stuck at rating 750 for a very long time. I have created this new account 10 days ago because in my previous account I practiced for an year and still didn't improved much. My previous account was named aniketpriyadarshi in which I solved 238 rating 800 problems, 43 rating 900 problems, 16 problems of rating of 1000, and 12 problems of rating 12 problems. In this new account I solved 18 problems of rating 800, 21 problems of rating 1000 but I am still not improving. Can you guys please help me with my rating.

      Follow C2 Ladders problemset. Start solving from 1100 rated problems. Your strategy should be to solve 100 problems of each difficulty and then move on to the next difficulty.

You should be able to solve 800-900 rated porblems in contest too. You solved many problems in that range, but still weren't able to solve them in contest. When you don't know how to solve problem don't just copy the solution from editorial. Try to really understand it. Then you can advance to 1000-1100 rated problems.

I strongly believe in the idea that if a person solves problems up to difficulty X, he or she should not expect to have rating of > X.

The first thing I recommend you to do is to download this plugin this one

It will allow to easily check other people stats, like how many problems of each difficulty they have solved. You have solved 3 1200 problems and 3 1300 problems, and a few problems of a higher difficulty. You definitely should not worry about getting stuck, there is still a lot of things you can do to progress))

My guess that you start to have difficulties with problems of 1000 and higher. So a tactic I heavily recommend you to try is just solving 100 problems of difficulty 1000, than solving 100 problems of difficulty 1100 and so on. But you should not just mindlessly grind the problems. I recommend to always solve problems with a timer, and you should only look at the editorial after 60+ minutes.

Also make a google doc where you store links to all of the problems that you have solved, and every time you solve one, give yourself a performance raiting for that problem. This way after solving like 30 of them, you can easily analyze what topics are hard for you so you can focus on them.

If you follow this method and solve 100 problems of difficulties 1000, 1100 and 1200, you will almost certainly reach green color. If you will do exactly that and won't progress, just send me a message on codeforces and I will try to help you to find a reason why it did not work.

Also in theory it should not take you a long time. If you spend like 2 hours everyday on cp, on average you will solve like 4 problems a day, so it 2-3 months your will be done with this challenge and probably will reach green)

Solving more problems usually helps. Even I was stuck for quite a long time but I managed to break through it somehow.
