@thisiskp_ Thanks KP for the hunt!

Hello Product Hunt community!

It’s been six months since we released Rows 1.0, the spreadsheet with superpowers. The launch was a big step towards our vision of becoming the new better spreadsheet for the 1 billion people using Excel and Google Sheets every day.

From ads reports, social media trackers, financial models, to sales dashboards - Rows became the first choice of thousands of great teams, thanks to its modern design, 40+ built-in integrations, and a new way of collaborating.

With Giving being one of our core values we want to focus on Community. Every day, people around the world want to share their spreadsheets.

Rows Community was born to offer the creators a platform to showcase their best spreadsheets and share them with the world. So far, over 650 awesome spreadsheets have been published, including contributions from well-known thinkers and newsletters creators such as Market Sentiment, Packy McCormick from Not Boring, Sahil Bloom from Curiosity Chronicle, and others.

To make the platform even more inviting to sharing and collaboration we gave Rows Community a big revamp.

- 🎨 Rows Community now provides the creators with a toolkit to customize and keep track of their spreadsheet over time. You can personalize your avatar, add a category to your spreadsheet, and create a custom URL - rows.com/yourname. The creators will now have real-time visibility on their spreadsheets’ views and duplications.

- 🔎 To navigate Rows Community, we added search and introduced categories. When you feel inspired, just duplicate a spreadsheet to your workspace and give a head start to your work.

- 🔢 To help you lay the groundwork for your analysis, we beefed up our Community with new public datasets https://rows.com/datasets from the Our World in Data. Explore all the main socio-economic indexes and dimensions across 150+ countries.

Whether you are a marketer, a finance manager or a founder, Rows Community is your go-to destination to showcase your last analytics report, make your cash-flow report available to your peers or give back to your startup community with your funding round calculator.

Check out our roadmap if you are curious about the evolution of the spreadsheet here (https://rows.com/features).

Thank you for your support and feedback! The team and I will be here today for your questions and thoughts on the product.

Humberto Co-founder, Rows

I have been following the progress of Rows for 4 years now and it never ceases to surprise me.

First about Rows: Rows is a spreadsheet platform (not just software, a real platform!). This is one of the most well-designed platforms to come out in the past several years: it addresses a massive use case, it's fast, has excellent UI, and offers a broad and quickly-expanding feature set. The team cares deeply about the experience they are providing and is super serious about the mission. This is evident not only in the attention to detail in the product itself but also in how they handle feedback and feature requests.

If you haven't used Rows before, you should know that of the most important innovations by Rows is its live API integration. This is the unique killer feature of Rows that enriches data using APIs. For example, you can pull data from Google Analytics and incorporate that directly into your spreadsheets. It's important to note that you are not limited to pre-built integrations: you can also send API requests directly from your spreadsheet cells using HTTP requests (i.e. POST, GET, ...).

Rows Community is another awesome innovation that I'm personally a big fan of and use (e.g. https://rows.com/mr-automation/p...). As someone who's spent years in the data business, I believe Rows Community definitely has the potential to become the de-facto platform for sharing datasets.

A HUGE advantage of Rows Community over other dataset communities is the fact that in Rows Community, datasets are loaded in the incredible spreadsheet software that Rows provides. So, rather than dumping data into an HTML table and displaying it, Rows gives you a full-blown application environment for the data. That's why you come across datasets that you can easily search, sort, filter, chart, and interact with.

I'm super excited to see how the community is going to evolve and create and share amazing datasets. This was an underserved area and I'm truly happy to see a great company take this area seriously and offer a best-of-class and smooth experience.

Thank you so much, @nariman_je! Your support means a lot to us!
@torbschulz My pleasure and congratulations! You guys have come so far it's incredible :)

Hello Humberto,

love the open public data sets! Maybe let the community propose other datasets, and rows can become a user-friendly hub for open data of all kind?

And another question on rows in general. You have an impressive list of native integrations, but I havent found any integrations with iPaaS such as Zapier, Make and similar? Did I miss that, or is that on the roadmap?

Congratulations also to your website, really beautiful and fast!

Torsten

@torsten_p Thanks for your kind message.

Regarding the datasets: sure, that was the purpose, give an head start to anyone who needs public data for their analysis. The community is always free to add new ones. Whenever ready, just hit “Share it to the world”, pick a category and will get published on the page.

Regarding the integrations, they are definitely on our mid-term roadmap but we don't have a date yet. We are now focusing on streamlining simpler workflows, especially for web analytics.

If you have any further questions or doubts, feel free to reach out!

Hope to see you on Rows soon!

Humberto

@torbschulz, @hayrespereira, @henrique_cruz1, @choraria and all Rows Team well done! 🎉

It's great to have a place where we can share our creations with the world. It's so simple and well designed. It's fun and useful to discover new spreadsheets from other users.

Keep up the great work! 🚀

Thank you, @mariotarouca! We're very lucky to have you as one of our top contributors. Spreadsheets FTW!!
