Faster

We’ve upgraded the core to the latest GlueGun which is many times faster!

Spinner

By moving the spinner to use listr — we can now display several spinners at once and they can resolve independently!

Standalone mode

Previously, Solidarity could only be run in the context of an existing project. With standalone mode, you can now check if your machine is properly configured for various types of development outside of any existing projects, for example: solidarity check react-native. This will be especially useful in situations like a conference workshop where you need to ensure all of your students have the necessary prerequisites installed.

Onboarding wizard

We’ve added a new onboarding wizard that will help walk you through the necessary steps of creating custom rules, just run solidarity onboard in a project without an existing .solidarity file. It’s rather basic for now, but it should reduce the need to know the Solidarity rule syntax by heart in order to check the dependencies you rely on.

Improved security

In the fast-moving world of node, many of our dependencies were out of date, potentially causing security concerns. Well, worry no more! Everything is up to date and in tip-top shape.
